One Generation Alliance
Developing, sustaining, and reproducing thriving orphanages for kids in distress in Baja Mexico.

One Generation Alliance exists to develop, sustain, and reproduce thriving orphanages in Baja, Mexico.
Our History
One Generation Alliance was founded in 2008 by Dave and Shannon Edmondson out of their deep love for Jesus and His calling to care for orphans. As Orange County locals, Dave and Shannon spent years traveling the two hour drive into Mexico to care for orphanage directors and care for kids in distress. The Biblical mandate is to love our neighbor, and to care for orphans and widows. They take this mandate seriously.
The name One Generation Alliance was born from a prayer—asking God to raise up one generation of children who would be transformed by His love and go on to impact future generations.
After a decade of supporting orphanages in Tijuana, Dave and Shannon felt called to expand their impact and open their own home. In 2018, One Generation Alliance partnered with Pastor Daniel and Pastora Aleyda of La Hermosa Church in Primo Tapia to open Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage—a home that has flourished over the years and provided a safe haven for many kids. Our mission is to root these children in God’s love, knowing that His love has the power to change the course of their lives, breaking cycles of poverty and abuse.
One Generation Alliance took another bold step in 2022 by purchasing a second property in Primo Tapia to build The Mentorship House. Through collaboration with other orphanages and nonprofits, we recognized a huge gap in resources for children aging out of orphanages. There is an urgent need for resources in Baja to help young adults transition successfully into independent life.
Currently under construction, The Mentorship House is set to open within the next year. This program will provide 24 young adults with vocational training, educational opportunities, spiritual development, character development, and all while being integrated into the community.
Further on the horizon is creating an alliance of orphan care in Baja Mexico. We aren’t sure what this will look like, but are praying about the possibility of starting a second orphanage or coming alongside smaller orphanages in need of support and guidance.

One Generation Alliance operates programs in Baja, Mexico, dedicated to transforming the lives of orphans—helping them move beyond mere survival to truly thriving.
Rancho la Hermosa Orphanage
Founded in 2018 in partnership with La Hermosa Church, Rancho la Hermosa Orphanage is the first home born out of One Generation Alliance. The home can house up to 30 orphaned and abandoned children.
Mentorship House
COMING SOON! The Mentorship House will be a first of it's kind program for orphans aging out of orphanages in Baja Mexico. This program will offer vocational training, educational opportunities, spiritual direction, and live-in mentorship.
Future Orphanages
As we grow, our goal is to support smaller orphanages in Baja Mexico that meet a high level of excellence. We are also praying about opening another orphanage to provide the best care possible to more orphaned and abandoned children.
